03 / HOW THIS WORKS

From your first idea
to your own website.

A straightforward process, with clear decisions at every stage. You know what’s happening and what comes next.

Let’s take the first step
  1. Discovery

    Start with a conversation

Tell me what you want, how you want it to feel and what a successful website would do for your business.

    From you

Your services, ideal customers, websites you like, must-have features, budget and target date. A rough idea is absolutely fine.

    What you get

A shared direction and an initial list of what your website needs.

  2. Scope & quote

Agree the plan & the price

We turn the idea into a clear plan, with the work, cost and responsibilities agreed before the build starts.

    From you

Confirm the pages and features, who supplies copy and photos, and who will provide feedback.

    What you get

A written scope, fixed project quote, payment stages, revision rounds and schedule. Hosting and other running costs are explained.

  3. Design & build

    Bring the website to life

I shape the design around your business and build the agreed features, with planned points for you to see progress.

    From you

Supply the agreed content and brand assets, then share feedback on the design direction at the review points.

    What you get

A working preview, with responsive layouts, clear customer journeys and the features in your agreed scope.

  4. Review & testing

    Refine, test & sign off

Explore the real website, check the details and work through the agreed revisions before it goes live.

    From you

Check names, services, contact details and content. Send consolidated feedback and approve the completed site.

    What you get

Key journeys checked on desktop and mobile, agreed revisions completed and a site ready for launch.

  5. Launch & handover

    Go live. Take the keys.

Your site launches into your accounts, with a practical handover so you understand what you own and how to use it.

    From you

Have your domain and hosting accounts ready and take part in the handover walkthrough.

    What you get

Source code, account access, setup notes and guidance for any editing tools. Future updates, backups and upkeep responsibilities are documented.

  6. Post-launch

Settle in with 30 days of cover

Bug fixes for the agreed build are included for 30 calendar days from the agreed launch date.

    From you

Email any bugs within the 30-day window, with the affected page, what happened and a screenshot if useful.

    What you get

Qualifying issues reported in time stay covered until resolved. New features, content changes and future maintenance are quoted separately.

BUILT BY ME. OWNED BY YOU.

A proper handover.
A clear next step.

You should know what you own, how to use it and what happens after launch. That’s part of the project.

The keys to your website

Client-owned domain and hosting accounts, your website source code, and the access and deployment notes needed for a future developer to take over.

A walkthrough, not a guessing game

A practical guide to your setup and a walkthrough of any editing tools included in your project.

30 days to settle in

Post-launch fixes for bugs in the agreed build are included. Future changes and ongoing maintenance are quoted separately, before work begins.

04 / A LITTLE MORE TECHNICAL

Beyond the website.

Have a repetitive task, disconnected tools or data you need to understand? These services are available alongside a website or as separately scoped projects.

LESS REPETITION

Scripts & automation

Turn time-consuming admin into a repeatable workflow, with a clear way to run it and understand the results.

  • File and spreadsheet processing
  • Repeatable reports and checks
  • PowerShell and Python scripts
Discuss automation
BETTER CONNECTIONS

API integrations

Connect the tools you already use so information moves between them without the copy-and-paste routine.

  • Connections between business tools
  • Webhooks and data synchronisation
  • Validation and error reporting
Discuss an integration
A CLEARER PICTURE

Data analysis

Make sense of the information in your spreadsheets and exports, with useful findings you can act on.

  • Data cleaning and organisation
  • Trend analysis and visual reports
  • Practical dashboards
Discuss your data
MADE FOR THE JOB

Small digital tools

A focused tool for a specific business problem, with sensible scope and a practical handover.

  • Internal utilities and dashboards
  • Calculators and simple prototypes
  • Tools for everyday workflows
Discuss a tool

Each technical project has its own agreed scope, deliverables and support arrangements.

05 / GOOD TO KNOW

A few things
you might be wondering.

Clear expectations from the first conversation.

How much will my website cost?

You receive a fixed project quote once we have agreed the pages, features and content needed. The quote sets out what is included, payment stages, revision rounds and any third-party costs before work starts.

Can I update the website myself?

If you need to edit text, add projects or change images, we agree those needs upfront and include a suitable content management system in the quote. Your handover includes a walkthrough of the editing tools. Layout changes and new features may still need a developer.

What do I need to provide?

Usually your logo, business details, service information and any photos you want to use. We agree who supplies the copy and images before starting, so you know exactly what is needed from you.

How long does a project take?

The timeline depends on the size of the site, the features and how soon content and feedback are available. You receive an agreed schedule with your quote, with clear review points along the way.

What does the 30-day bug-fix period cover?

For 30 calendar days from the agreed launch date, fixes for faults in my delivered work against the agreed specification are included. Report them by email within that period; qualifying issues remain covered while I resolve them, even if a fix is completed after day 30. Response arrangements are agreed in your project scope.

What is charged separately?

New pages, features, design changes, content updates and ongoing maintenance are separate work. Issues caused by later edits or changes to third-party services are assessed separately. I explain the scope and agree a price with you before starting additional work.

Are there any ongoing costs?

Domain renewals, hosting and any paid tools are your ongoing costs, paid to the relevant providers. These are explained before you commit. There is no required ongoing maintenance plan with me; responsibility for updates, backups and technical upkeep is recorded at handover.

Can I book a technical project without a website?

Yes. Automation, API integrations, data analysis and small digital tools can be scoped as standalone projects. Deliverables, handover and any support period are agreed separately for that work.
